Aids Ministry- Living Waters: * (fingerprinting requirement)
If you have a family member or know someone who is living with HIV/AIDS, we can be there for you. Anyone in need of help should contact the Living Waters through the Parish office. (255.0433) Our parish community remembers all the survivors and victims of the AIDS virus in a special service every December 1st. F.A.I.T.H. (Fighting Against Injustice Towards Harmony):
This is an interfaith, multi-cultural organization of which OLL is an active member. By formally addressing social justice issues affecting communities within Volusia County, we give voice to those who may not otherwise be heard. All parishioners are encouraged to attend our FAITH rallies as well as personally work for FAITH. Ministry to the Sick and Homebound: * (fingerprinting requirement)
Trained and commissioned lay persons take Eucharist to those confined to their homes or hospitals. If you are in need of a minister, contact he parish office (255.0433), if possible before the person becomes critically ill. Our parish community celebrates the anointing of the sick during a special liturgy in October and March each year. Anyone wishing to be a part of this vital ministry should also contact the parish office. Re-Membering Church:
Do you know someone who has strayed away from the Catholic Church? Invite them to our sessions after Christmas and Easter or ask them to arrange to meet with the pastor at any time. Through talks, prayer, and discussion, they will strengthen their relationship with God, and become affiliated with our Church once again. Call the parish office (255.0433) for further details. St. Vincent DePaul Society:
This group collects and distributes food to those in need. Food is distributed on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and supplies are always in need of replenishment. Donations of non-perishable goods can be placed in the basket in the church foyer. Volunteers to sort and distribute food are welcome and needed.
